🇬🇧 Hiisi Homes Helsinki Sörnäinen | Frequently Asked Questions

Hiisi Homes Helsinki Sörnäinen | Suvilahdenkatu 9, 00500 Helsinki | Pääskylänkatu 11, 00500 Helsinki

How can I make the apartment warmer?

The apartment has radiators for heating. Make sure that curtains are not in front of the radiators and especially not in front of the thermostats (the adjustment knob) so that the radiator can start heating.

How can I cool down the apartment?

Make sure that the blinds and blackout curtains are closed during the daytime so that the sun does not shine directly in and the apartment does not get heated up.

How can I get fresh air circulating?

The apartment in Sörnäinen has a balcony, so you can ventilate the apartment by opening the balcony door. During hot summer days, it is not advisable to open the balcony door during the daytime as hot air will enter the apartment.

Is there air conditioning in the apartment?

No, there isn't.

Can I open the windows?

Yes, you can.

How does the kitchen hood work?

In most apartments in Sörkka, there are kitchen hoods instead of exhaust fans. The ventilation works only at certain times of the day and is set to operate during meal times when people usually cook. There is usually no other control option except for the work light. Smoke may partially go into the hood even when the ventilation is not on.

Why doesn't the shower work in Pääskylänkatu 11 A 2? Why is there no water coming from the faucet?

The shower works when the spout is turned to the side and vice versa. The spout is the horizontal part under the faucet. There is nothing wrong with the faucet; it is just a little bit of Polish logic in the faucets made by Moran. A photo of the faucet is attached.

Where can I smoke?

The location is completely smoke-free, so smoking is allowed outside on the street next to the location.
