🇬🇧 Cooktop User Guide
Almost all ceramic and induction cooktops operate on these same principles.
1. Starting Up
Locate the power button (usually the symbol ① or I/O).
Action: Hold your finger on the button for approx. 1–2 seconds until lights or zeros appear on the display. A quick tap is often not enough.
2. "Help, the stove is locked!" (Letter L)
If the cooktop doesn't react and an L (Lock), Lo, or a key icon is lit on the display, the child lock is on. Try unlocking it using one of the following methods:
Method A (Most common): Find the button with a lock (🔒) or key (🗝️) image. Hold it down for approx. 4 seconds.
Method B (Two-button tactic): If there is no lock button, press the + and - buttons simultaneously OR press both outermost cooking zone - buttons at the same time and hold them for approx. 4 seconds.
Method C: On some models, long-press the power button (①) (for over 5 seconds).
3. Using the Cooking Zones
Select a burner: Touch the symbol for the desired cooking zone or the controls located at that zone.
Adjust heat: Use the + and - buttons or slide your finger along the scale (slider). The power scale is usually 1–9.
4. Turning Off
Press the power button (①) again to turn off the entire cooktop.
Note: If an H or h remains lit on the display after turning off, it means the burner is still hot. Do not touch!
🆘 Common Problems
Stove beeping and turning off by itself? Check if there is water, grease, or an object (e.g., a kitchen towel) on the control panel. Wipe the panel dry.
Burner not heating up (Induction)? If using an induction stove and the number is flashing, the pot might not be suitable for induction. Try another pot (a magnet must stick to the bottom).
Stove won't turn on at all? Try a "hard reset": Locate the apartment's fuse box, turn the stove's fuse off for 1 minute, and switch it back on.
